Hi, sorry for contacting you in this odd way, but I’m wondering if you ever came up with a solution to the problem from this forum post:

I’m having a similar error. I’ve narrowed it down to certain controlP5 calls in the serialevent() function. It only occurs on Linux for me, works fine on XP. Anyway, if you have any advice, I would very much appreciate it.

sorry but not to my recollection.
That particular thread lived a long time ago and I don’t recall finding a solution for that specific problem. Sorry.
